Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through this sacrament we receive the strength and comfort of the Holy Spirit to help us meet the challenges and demands we may face as mature Christians.

For those already baptized Catholic, preparation for the reception of the sacrament is offered young people in Grades 8-12. A prerequisite is participation in the parish Faith Formation Program or attendance at a Catholic school.  For more information, refer to the Confirmation for Youth webpage.  Children who have not been baptized or where baptized under another Christian tradition are prepared under the guidelines of the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) adapted for children.
