About the Pastoral Council

St. Mary's Pastoral Council is made up of dedicated Parish volunteers, who, working with the Pastor, clergy, and staff, carry forward the mission and ministry of Christ and his Church in the Parish community. It is a consultative body that makes recommendations to the Pastor regarding the life and mission of the parish. As such, it encourages a network of communication within the parish and surrounding community to include the many Parish Ministries and serves as a forum for dialogue among the parishioners, the Pastor, the clergy, and staff.

Here are some of the things the Community Pillar work on:

Welcoming Committee - works with Father Patrick Woods to plan special Masses to officially welcome all new parishioners.

Single Adult Catholics - The Single again ministry plans various events throughout the year including an annual retreat and movie nights.

Natural Family Planning - Working with families hoping to have children.
